Insurance & Rates

I am in-network with the following insurance companies:

  • Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Magellan

If your insurance company is not listed above, you may be able to see me out-of-network. If you see me as an out-of-network provider, I will provide you with an invoice called a “super bill” that has all of the information you will need to obtain reimbursement from your insurance company for our sessions. If you choose to see me out-of-network, I recommend you contact your insurance company and ask them the following questions to confirm your level of coverage prior to our first session:


  • Does my policy cover out-of-network psychologists?

  • What percentage per session does my policy cover?

  • How many sessions does my plan cover in a year? How many sessions do I have left?

  • What is the deductible I have to meet before coverage to an out-of-network psychologist begins?

  • How much of the deductible have I met so far?

  • Do I need pre-authorization or a referral from my primary care provider to see a psychologist?

  • What steps do I need to take to obtain pre-authorization?

  • Are there any diagnoses that are not covered?

  • How do I submit a request for reimbursement? How much time do I have to file a claim?

Out-Of-Network Rates for Individual Therapy

  • $250 for intake session (typically first 1 or 2 sessions)

  • $200 for 45-minute psychotherapy

Cancellation Policy

Unforeseen circumstances may cause you to miss a scheduled session.  Please try to give me 48-hours’ notice, and I will try to re-schedule you as soon as possible.  There is a $200 fee for sessions cancelled without 24-hour’s notice. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis. This is something I will discuss with you during our first session. Please note that insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.
